YOKOHAMA, Japan - Zuken Inc. ("Zuken") has started providing Intel product reference circuits for CR-5000 and CR-8000. Initially, it will provide reference circuits for Ethernet devices, for which there is a strong need among industrial machineries.
Reference circuit CAD data for Intel products is scheduled to be published in stages on the "ModuleStation" (http://www.modulestation.com) circuit module download site managed by Zuken. "ModuleStation" is a web service that allows reference circuits published as design information by semiconductor and electronic component manufacturers to be downloaded free of charge, and it is already providing reference circuits on the electronic components of 9 companies.
With the development of IoT (Internet of Things), there are expectations, moving forward, for further advances in the advanced electrical design using cutting edge electronic components by all embedded device manufacturers, including those of industrial machinery.
With the provision of these reference circuits, embedded device manufacturers using Intel platforms can obtain usable circuit data instantly through "ModuleStation," which will greatly shorten the design preparation period, and will be able to use more time for adding value to their products.
Yasuhiro Honma, Executive Manager of Applied Technology at the Technical Headquarters of Intel Corporation, commented as follows with regard to the approach of Zuken on this occasion. "Intel warmly welcome this approach by Zuken, which will greatly increase the efficiency of embedded devices based on the Intel® architecture. With expectations for the expansion of the IoT market, this will enhance the design efficiency of all customers engaged in embedded device development, and we will cooperate with this approach moving forward."
