Zuken Inc. ("Zuken"), in collaboration with Agilent Technologies, Inc. ("Agilent," headquarters: Santa Clara, California State, USA, President: William P. (Bill) Sullivan, Japanese corporate entity: Agilent Technologies Japan, Ltd.: Takakuramachi 9-1, Hachioji City, Tokyo, President & CEO: Masaaki Umeshima) has strengthened link functionality between the Zuken printed circuit board design solution Board Designer ("BD") and Advanced Design System ("ADS"), which is the Agilent EEsof EDA design/simulation software.
ADS is an analytical solution that contributes to increased efficiency in communications-related high frequency/high speed circuit design, device modeling and signal processing design. There was a link previously between BD and ADS, but this functionality has been reinforced even further, through closer communication between the two development groups on this occasion.
The Agilent EEsof Department General Manager, Todd Cutler, said as follows.
"Through our collaboration with Zuken over the course of many years, there have been increased links between tools which has provided benefits to our common customers. This functional extension will bring about an even closer link. Through the combination of Zuken, with its powerful PCB design tools, and Agilent, who is at the cutting edge of the high frequency wave analysis industry, we can bring about more efficient design flows, improvements in quality and shorter timeframes."

With the BD Rev.14.010 released in June 2012, it has become possible to output new component attribute information and mutually recognizable net names and information to ADS. In line with this functional extension on the BD side, an add-on tool has been included on the ADS side to automatically reallocate components on the circuit diagram with ADS 2012. This combination makes it possible to deal with layout data, including components, in a more highly efficient way.
